Introduction to COVID Vaccines

Learn how SARS-CoV-2 infects cells, the process of vaccine development,  how the leading vaccines work and data regarding their efficacy. 

Presenter:
Randal Gregg, Director of Research at DCOM-Knoxville and Associate Professor of Immunology
Dr. Gregg taught Microbiology and Immunology in medical programs for 14 years. He is currently researching vaccine development for infectious diseases, immune modulators to control emerging infectious diseases (Ebolavirus), and microgravity impact upon immunity. Dr. Gregg has previously done research in HIV immune evasion mechanisms, Ebolavirus pathogenesis, autoimmunity, and cancer immunotherapy.
